Mudita
In this rather exceptional line-up singer Sanne Rambags, pianist Sjoerd van Eijck and trumpet player Koen Smits approach the roles of their instrument in a different way in search of new sounds. Silence and intimacy are important elements in Mudita's music. And so are atmospheric improvisations.
The trio is influenced by musicians like Susanne Abbuehl, Simin Tander, Jan Garbarek, Mathias Eick and Tord Gustavsen.

Mudita will release its debut album in April 2018. Sanne, Sjoerd and Koen met at the Tilburg Conservatory in 2015 and started working together. January 2018 they recorded nine compositions of their own at the Fattoria Studio in Osnabrueck, Germany with engineer/producer Chris Weeda.
