Soo Cho (born in South Korea, living in The Netherlands) has been playing piano almost all her life. She took classical lessons since when she was 3 years old. Later Soo studied classical piano at the Sung Sin University in Seoul. Later she discovered jazz and left her native grounds to study in The Netherlands. In 2006 Soo graduated from the Jazz Piano department at the Amsterdam Conservatory and in 2008 from the Master Degree Jazz Composition at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. In 2009 Soo also graduated for her Master Degree in Amsterdam for Jazz Piano. Besides this she studied for 1 semester at the Manhattan School of Music in New York.
She has released five albums up till now and is performing internationally, like in Germany, Belgium, Austria and Italy.

Recording a trio album has been a dream for a long time. In a way, Soo Cho had to reinvent herself. “It is both a challenge and a major responsibility to be the main soloist. Also, I was aiming for more energetic, more rhythmical tunes”, she says.
